Biophilia through indoor plantings, access to daylight and best views is prioritised to the back of house office, instead of to the visitors’ areas, emphasising the value to their employees.

With all the learnings from the Philanthropic Organisation’s HQ Office and a fast-growing client, we had the opportunity to design them a supporting office for 90 staff not far down the road from the HQ.

The brief was to make the new space feel and operate the same as the HQ but also have its own identity. The effective use of space with the adaption of flexible work arrangements was a main point of focus, whilst supporting wellbeing and a strong community culture. It is designed to be a workplace with a creative mix of ways people can meaningfully engage, socialise and work with their peers in different modes and settings. The underlying culture always comes across clearly, reminding staff and visitors how much they value the exchange of ideas, the process of experimentation.

The effective use of space means it can accommodate a range of work style preferences and tasks that can be easily adaptable with inclusive flexible spaces that foster productivity and creativity, both for employees in the office and those at home.
